JIWANA, an Italian fashion brand,  named as the endearing nickname of Cristina, a Royal princess of Spain was founded in Milan, Italy in 1978 by Edward Stefano.

The brand embodies a style that is simple, elegant, smart, and gorgeous, seamlessly integrating fashion elements into all products. As a result, JIWANA products are highly regarded for their quality and taste,  and are widely favored by European and American celebrities.

Brand Background

Edward Stefano hails from a family of cobblers in Florence, known for their simple and skillfully designed shoes that feature comfortable lightweight textures since the 19th century.  Living amidst the artistic legacy of the Renaissance, embodied by masters like Michelangelo and Raphael, Florence continues to inspire the Edwardian family's dedication to art and aesthetic,   inheriting a tradition of excellence in craftsmanship and commitment to delivering fine quality products.

In pursuit of fusing traditional aesthetics with contemporary fashion, Edward Stefano relocated from Florence to Milan, the fashion capital. His experimentations with fashion breathed new life into the family's traditional shoe-making industry, attracting a younger generation of celebrities. In 1978, Stefano founded the independent designer brand ES, the former name of JIWANA in Milan.

ES has been enjoyed popularity among the royal families and celebrities of Italy, Spain, France, Greece, and Hungary. Princess Cristina was one of them and authorized her endearing nickname, JIWANA, as the new brand name.
